Windsor grew stiff as FotY reached for him, holding his breath as its large hand grew closer. While it showed no signs of hostility or violent intent, in the mind of a scared child, this was pretty damn frightening. On instinct he closed his eyes and turned away, feeling a familiar chill climb up his spine in a zap along with the brief sensation of wind across his cheeks, sensations that were as natural to him as breathing, and then he felt the warm rays of the sun bearing down and warming him up once more. A few scrap items shifted and moved about as he appeared next to them, a bike with broken spokes falling over as a shift of his arm nudged it from the stack of boxes it had been leaning against, the bell of it giving a dull ching as it hit the ground. Windsor opened his green-grey eyes and looked around himself, finding that he had teleported to sit next to the stack of boxes the bike had been leaning against and just infront of one of the smaller piles of scrap and odd ends, about ten feet behind FotY. The sound of David calling out for someone didn't seem to reach the petite child as he carefully stood up, trying not to make as much noise as he already had, and took a few cautious steps. His worn sneakers gave a few inaudible crunches as he traversed the ground, once comfortable, he sped up. All was well and good....until he stepped on the broken half of a glass bottle, wincing as the loud shattering of the glass gave away his position and actions. Windsor stayed still for a few seconds, heart beat rising again as he stood there like an oddly dressed statue, and then he was running as fast as he could manage, stumbling over a few scattered objects every few steps as he went.
Still, after doing a visual check-over of the groundskeeper from afar, David could tell that the old man was okay...shaken, as expected, but likely okay. Having checked up on the old man, he would now begin to turn his attention towards the young boy...or he would have, had the child not suddenly disappeared from his immediate area as his back was turned!
"Damn!" David thought, his brows furrowed as he began to quickly look around left and right for the whereabout of the boy, but to no avail! "I shoulda never let 'em outta my sights! What if he tries goin' to the cops or somethin'?! Shit, they might not believe 'em, but it'll just make stuff more complicated...without even takin' into account that he's got one of them Stands too! What if he tells other people that I'm here?! Damn, that'll just put more people in danger! I've gotta find him...fast!" he frantically thought, both user and Stand beginning to actively look around for the child. David would look in one pile of metal while First of the Year would easily toss one aside...neither action producing any tangible results.
"Son of a--"
Suddenly, the male was cut-off by the sound of broken glass; followed by...running? Not only that, but it sounded like there were things getting pushed or knocked over in the course of this running too...that must've been him! The noise sounded like it was coming from the other side of a thin pile of scrap. With no time to lose and with few people around to really investigate, David made a brash move as he sent First of the Year out to utterly decimate the pile as the debris all flew forward and then began to scatter along the dirt ground, some spare pieces of metal lodging themselves into the ground as David and his Stand briskly emerged from the newly created pathway and began to give chase. Whether by instinct or by thought, First of the Year had picked up a piece of rebar from the debris and held it in his hand as David chased after the young boy, the purpose of which was still being debated by the former. Perhaps...?
"Kid! Stop runnin', I ain't tryin to do nothin' to ya!" David called out, his breathing beginning to increase as he attempted to keep up with this boy...but shit was he fast! This wasn't just a "size vs size" kind of speed advantage either! This was a trained advantage! "I'm just tryin' to talk here, dammit!"
