Kinks was struggling to make sense of how they could best this Stand, he watched David neatly punch a hole in the magazine which was good... it meant they both had beat 'em up kinds of Stands so they just had to find a way to make contact. Maybe they could hit his Stand or something? Kinks was distracted by the girl... woman? He blinked at the fact she was actually a good deal taller than him and had a handbag the same color as his hair. He didn't... really get what she meant when she said had they helped her earlier? Had they? Kinks was in danger of having smoke coming out of his ears. David recommended she hide behind the couch which Kinks felt... might not be great...
"Hey, wait, Mr. Yorke seemed to think we all got sucked in because we have Stands so maybe that girl has one too?"
"Hey, wait, Mr. Yorke seemed to think we all got sucked in because we have Stands so maybe that girl has one too?"
As things currently stood, the duo of Kinks and David knew absolutely nothing about the woman, nor did they possess any information on her supposed Stand. As dangerous as things were, especially regarding the ability of their foe, having an unknown element enter the battle in the middle of the battle seemed--at least, to David--to be too much of a risk. Perhaps once this fight was over, they would be able to question the woman and see for themselves what her ability was, maybe even seeing if there were any particular uses for her specific power that they could incorporate into a strategy of some kind?
With all of that having been said, of course, most of it would have to wait. There was an enemy Stand user that the two heroes had to deal with, and that would have to take priority for the time being.
So, with that in mind, David stood by patiently as Horoscope's user offered a response to the pair of "rejects", speaking in a condescending tone as he reaffirmed his Stand's ability to predict events with infallible accuracy. It was already bad enough that the teen was dragged in here against his will, but now he had to listen to this guy prattle on about how he didn't see the apparent need for caution when facing these two. Still, he at least gave David some important information regarding the magazine covers...
"Yep, that's what you did in the vision. Those magazines are psychic imprints, they come from you and have all your details. We normally read them but, like, the big boss said we need to be careful with you guys. That detective is dangerous and if you're with him we should treat you as dangerous too. I don't see it myself though," he sighed and picked at his nails, deftly dodging another blast of Pinballs from Kinks' attempted surprise attack.
Pinball Wizard spread it's arms and began raining down Pinballs as rapidly as possible. The man barely even glanced at them as he dodged, his Stand occasionally deflecting from the deluge that he couldn't avoid, a few bounced and nearly hit Kinks as they were deflected and kept bouncing. But all the time he kept his eyes looking at Maria and David with the bulk of his attention on David. He seemed to be waiting for something, as if he knew that David would attack and he was eagerly awaiting it so he could nail the coffin shut on their despair...
Wave after wave of pinballs was sent towards Horoscope, each projectile moving towards the man at breakneck speeds in an effort to strike their foe and bring him down as quickly as possible, with David rushing in towards their opponent to act in conjunction with Kinks' assault, the teen's goal being to try to overwhelm the man with an endless barrage of both projectiles and punches until he, ultimately, could no longer keep up with the attacks. The plan had been set and, to be honest, it seemed like a pretty decent strategy...
Until David got that look, of course.
It was a look that he was at least partially familiar with...the kind of silent glance that let you know that someone was planning on letting you take an opening so that they could create one themselves; a bold, confident stare that usually marked someone's intention to end a fight as smoothly--and as quickly--as possible. The look almost gave David pause, his resolve faltering ever-so-slightly as he briefly considered holding back and rethinking his own strategy for a moment, though he quickly regained his confidence and continued to dash towards the enemy after but a few brief seconds of consideration. Perhaps he would need to make use of his ability after all...
“Ah! I think I did it! I got a stand!”, she cheered as she stood up to announce the news to the two stand-users that acknowledged her first. As she spoke, clouds the same colour as her aura billowed out and started to orbit around her head.
She felt her eyelids grow heavy and her body sinking back behind the couch.
“Hey, is this -yawn- supposed to…” she asked, breaking into a series of loud snores mid-sentence.
Everyone else would see clouds continued to rise from behind the sofa, gradually spreading to cover more and more of the room.

At hearing the woman from earlier proudly announce that she had a Stand, David could do nothing but halt his movement as he turned his head towards her cheering form, with a thick, pink fog seeming to billow out from around her body and slowly begin to seep throughout the room. It was quite the sight to see, not because it was aesthetically pleasing, but because it was so downright bizarre that it'd probably be imprinted in David's memory banks for years to come! Just what kind of Stand was this?! Out of all the Stands that he had seen and heard about, nothing came even remotely close to what was being seen now!
"Oh, you've gotta be kiddin' me...!" he mumbled, clenching both of his fists together as he turned his head away from the pink fog and back towards Horoscope.
The Stand's true ability was unknown, but judging by the way that the woman had just been knocked out, David didn't assume that it could've been anything good...which meant that they would have to hurry things up and beat their opponent as quickly as possible!
"Hey, you!" David shouted out, his words aimed at Kinks. "Don't let up on 'im! Keep raining down those pinballs of yours, even if they end up hitting me..."
He pointed a finger at Horoscope then, a scowl across his face as First of the Year materialized beside the teen with a similarly angry expression, the pink fog continuing to make its way throughout the room as David did so.
"And as for you...I'm gonna end this, now!" He declared, throwing his fist to the side as he seemed ready to charge. "I've been keeping my ability as close to my chest as possible, just so that I would have a card to play in situations just like this! I can honestly say that out of everyone who's here in this building, not a single person other than myself knows what First of the Year's true power is...oh, but you're about to find out."
"You said that your Stand could predict everything that would happen 30 seconds into the future, am I right? Well then, if that's the case...then I wanna see you dodge this next attack!"
With a quick shout, David took off sprinting towards Horoscope like a madman, with First of the Year trailing just behind him with its fist pulled back, ready to unleash a mighty blow upon its master's command. Once both Stand and master were within a range of about five meters to Horoscope, a loud, high-pitched *TING!* could be heard resonating throughout the room...and what would happen then? Well...
"I'll give it to ya...that's an impressive ability you've got there! Being able to see the future, well, there's just no stoppin' that, is there? Funny thing is, though...'seeing' is 'perceiving'! I'm willin' to bet that the next few seconds here are gonna seem pretty slow, am I right?"
David quickly side-stepped to the right then, darting to Horoscope's side as he attempted to attack him from his right flank, the maneuver having been done in an attempt to avoid Kink's pinball barrage.
"That's because no matter how much you wanna try 'predicting' the future, you're still gonna have to end up 'experiencing' it for yourself...so, if for some reason things seem to be moving a bit slower for you now, and you're lil' 'predictions' seem to be moving just as slow, just know that it's because of First of the Year and his ability!"
The Stand reeled its arm back even further then, clenching its teeth as it darted forward and shot off a powerful haymaker right at Horoscope's jaw, its fist moving like a blur as it inched closer and closer to the opponent's face. As it did this, it let out a loud, powerful cry of "SAIKORO" as the room continued to fill up with mist. But just what was First of the Year's ability? It was...
"First of the Year's ability...is to alter the way that you perceive time! Even with your 'predictions', they're useless if the only thing you can predict within 30 seconds is a slow-moving punch!"
