Name: Aka Musouka
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Occupation: Art Student
Race: Human
Physical Appearance: Aka looks fairly small and lithe, standing at around 4"9 with a thin build. She has fair skin, petite 'features' and constantly smells like flowers. She also has a small nose and mouth, with dark brown, short, and cleanly cut hair. What is most striking about Aka's face and her general appearance however, is her eyes. Vividly blood red, it's how she got the name 'Aka '; a word translatable into 'Red' in Japanese. Her favorite expression is one of slight annoyance; lips pursed into a thin line, nose turned up ever so slightly, and half-lidded eyes subtly slanting inwards. Summarily, Aka is a girl who is plain-looking and forgettable at first glance, and near unapprochable for quite a lot more glances afterwards.
Clothing Appearance: Aka's clothing choices are, honestly, slightly boring. She usually wears a soft and comfortable-looking green cotton sweater, with a single dull yellow line across the middle of it. Otherwise, she wears dark blue trousers which are a little too big for her, lighter blue sneakers, and some flower that she puts in her hair every once in a while. She also wears one half of one of those old "Best Friends Forever" lockets, in the shape of half of a golden heart.
Personality: Aka, in a word, can be best described at first impression as 'rude'. Some people might describe her personality as 'cold', however. This is not untrue. Except, for one, she does indeed carry an average level of emotion in her tone often; it's just that that emotion is very probably set to 'annoyed'. Aka is also a bit of a control freak- if things don't go her way, she gets stressed. This leads to her constantly telling/insulting people to act and behave what she views as 'proper'. She is also a massive deadpan snarker, and is completely unaffected by anyone trying to snark at her back. She's also pretty mature for her age, to the point that older people are sometimes surprised that she knows so much. All these things together should probably point to Aka to being an unanimously rude person, however she has been known to show a soft side towards things like children, animals and especially flowers. She is also weirdly sentimental, being overly caring of both her sweater and locket.
Weapons/Tools: With a Stand that creates knives, do you ever really need a weapon? Aka does carry some art material in her backpack most of the time, though.
Skills: Aka, being an art student, is obviously quite good at visual art, specializing in quick sketches. She also knits and gardens frequently as a hobby- it's how she got her sweater and flower accessories. Aka also has recently developed a skill in writing stories, even if she's still a beginner.
Are they a Stand User: Yes
Quotes:
"Could you please stop being an idiot for five or more seconds?"
"If it's all the same to you, I would prefer not dying, thanks."
"Look, I'm not really into getting close to people. I get a kick out of being rude to everyone and seeing their reactions. If I become 'friends' with you, it won't be as funny to me when I insult you again."
"I'm honestly surprised someone with your skill level could still be alive this long with a serial killer on the loose. Congratulations."
"Let's just get this over with, alright?"
Their Goal: Honestly? Aka doesn't really have much of a grand plan in life. Maybe become some kind of manga artist that becomes popular for a while and then fades into obscurity after a few months. Right now, though, her main objective is surviving.
Their Secret: Two years ago, when she was 13, Aka's 16 year old brother committed suicide via cyanide pills. No one ever found hard evidence that revealed his reason for doing so- stress from the high expectations of the Japanese education system was the suspected motive. Aka absolutely adored her brother, and when the authorities revealed he died in such a disturbing manner... It scarred her. What if she could have stop him from doing something so drastic? What if she was partially the reason for his suicide? It created a shell around the girl that mentally separated herself from others. Aka doesn't know how to get out.
Weaknesses: Aka is unfriendly to the point of being unapproachable. She doesn't like other people, and repeatedly insults them to the point of redundancy, caring very, very little for the other person's feelings. She also usually refuses to do anything if she cannot figure out enough about said action and is given enough time to think on it.
Strengths: To anything she doesn't feel like poking fun of, Aka is remarkably kind to. She's also quite imaginative, oftentimes sitting, daydreaming extensively about some subject or the other. Aka is also fairly levelheaded in stressful situations, and only through pushing certain buttons does anyone even get her in said stressful situations in the first place.
Bio: Aka was an orphan, even if she doesn't remember anything of it as she was adopted very early. She didn't even realize she was one until her parents told her about a year ago. Otherwise, she's led a fairly good life: kind & patient parents, good grades, and a brother that she adored and adored her back. Life was good in middle-class Japan.
You know, until her brother committed suicide.
Devastated, the Musoukas moved to New York, Manhattan because they couldn't bear to keep living anywhere near where the tragedy occurred. Aka before wasn't really a shining paragon of goodness even before her brother died, and now it's primarily the reason she's so very rude to everyone. Her parents, too, were affected; although they still maintained their kindness, there was a certain tiredness in their eyes that made Aka uncomfortable. Otherwise, life in New York for the past two years has been alright. She didn't have any friends other than her brother while in Japan, and now that he's gone, Aka doesn't really have any. There's also this weird ball that's been following around her ever since her brother died. She can throw knives and weird knives with it, and other people can't seem to see it, so she's mainly ignored it for now. But it's alright. She's used to this. Life was alright in middle-class New York.
You know, until The Cutter started killing people at her own highschool.
Her parents utterly forbade her from going to her school until the murders stopped for good. She wasn't even allowed to leave her own house. "Homeschooling's cheaper," they said. But Aka knew the real reason why; her parents were afraid they were going to lose another child. She knew this, yet... well, she has a special power, doesn't she? She's fairly certain even the most buff of dudes can't live through tons knives repeatedly stabbing them over and over. She wasn't about to let this creep ruin her freedom to walk around. Aka sneaks away while her parents are working, and is sure to come back before they ever notice anything. After all, there was a flower patch in Central Park that she needed to take care of. Buttercups, her brother's favorite.
