Name: Thomas "TJ" Joshua Irving
Age: Seventeen
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student
Race: Human, Caucasian, dork
Physical Appearance:
TJ’s a 6’2” tall young man, with just a bit wider shoulders than that of your average older teenager of the same size and a body that is just, well, what most people would consider average. Not thin nor chubby.
He has a tad bit wide of a chin, making his head a bit more box like, which do go well with his bigger than average nose and thin, sharp eyes, for whatever reason working together to make him seem a bit more masculine and handsome. His eyes however tend to seem a bit bigger, as the guy needs glasses to not be almost blind.
Working together with the box like head look, TJ’s hair is both from the sides and back shaved a lot shorter and are dark brown, with him having a bit longer, messy, dirty blonde hair on top. Only thing to make it seem more like a box would be a flattop, am I right?
Other smaller things to mention is his fingernails being short and rather uneven thanks to TJ biting them, his feet being the size 13 and he has a birthmark on his left ass cheek vaguely in the shape of Finland.
Clothing Appearance:
Well, honestly TJ has no fashion sense and really doesn’t care, so he most of the time just wears what he sees as appropriate and comfortable. Which means that you’ll often see him with the combination of a turtleneck hoodie, tank top, jeans and sneakers. Their color and designs often change. He does have his favourite set though.
Here it is; hoodie being black from the outside and white from the inside, with a silver colored “tattoo” on its left sleeve, tank top is dark red and doesn’t have anything on it, dark grey jeans and white sneakers with red laces.
Personality:
Energetic - TJ is almost at all times full of energy, with it being noticeable in both his expressions and motions (which can be a bit over the top). As long as he has something to gain or likes whatever he’s doing the guy’ll just utilize his energy to it and put his all into it. He can be sick, sleep deprived, injured or whatever, but he’ll still keep showing a fair amount of energy.
Chummy - TJ’s a surprisingly friendly guy, showing quite the pleasant side to anyone who bothers to interact with him. He doesn’t judge people before he knows them or sees their actions, so this adds to pretty much anyone. The friendliness of course can bother some people though, as TJ doesn’t show much restraint with strangers.
Jokester - Taking things too seriously is absolutely no fun at all and the world in itself can be a rather boring thing to TJ, so he often jokes around and uses sarcasm as a purpose for humor. His range of humor is quite large, so his jokes vary quite a lot. TJ also has a habit using insults and cursing casually every now and then in a joking manner (for example “Hi, fuckface” as a greeting to a friend).
Perceptive - TJ has a habit of paying attention to small details, and has a knack for finding them too, so he rarely doesn’t notice something that could be important be it visually, in smell, taste, sound or feel.
Caring - Those close to him are incredibly important to TJ, and he wants them to be well and happy, so he is ready to help them if he can do something, and honestly doesn’t care if it would be immoral.. He will also prioritize the safety of the ones he loves over anyone he doesn’t know.
Thick-skinned - TJ’s the kind of guy who you can’t really knock down with words, as he doesn’t give a fuck what you think about his own beliefs, style, likes and whatever. If you honestly have a problem with him, then you can just go ahead and fuck off.
Realistic - Feet close to the ground, TJ’s thoughts and beliefs are very closely intertwined with science and how this world functions. Of course the appearance of Stands have kind of fucked it over, but still a lot of the guy revolves around realism.
Competitive - Even the smallest of things can be a competition to TJ, and he’ll gladly accept any challenges directed towards him, as he does like to prove that he’s better at something and the feeling of victory. When competing, a quite the confident/cocky side of the young man’s tends to pop out.
Blunt - TJ always prefers the truth over a lie, no matter how ugly it may be. He also thinks that others should also be able to accept the truth instead of going with a lie, so he will always say how things are or how he thinks. From the most minor of things to incredibly serious matters
Opinionated - TJ has a lot of strong opinions and feelings, and he isn’t afraid to defend them or prove that they are correct. He is quite stubborn about them too, and won’t allow his beliefs to be bent that easily.
Clingy - TJ’s a big softie, and honestly doesn’t like to be alone, so he tries to spend as much time as possible with friends. He’s the happiest then. The guy also heavily relies on and trusts his friends, as he feels that he can get support from them, and is ready to open up to them on any matter.
Thickheaded - Though a perceptive fellow, it doesn’t mean that TJ will always be able to tell what the things he notices mean. Best example of this would be the emotions of others, as he doesn’t honestly understand the way some people function and can easily misunderstand things. He also has a hard time understanding some things like fashion, math and stuff like that.
Well-meaning - Rarely does TJ try to purposefully hurt someone, but his way of thinking and actions tend to do more bad than good, even if it is meant in a good way. Good examples could be TJ trying to cheer someone up when they just want to be alone, or the guy’s bluntness, as there are people who just don’t want to hear the truth.
Aggressive - TJ is straightforward and isn’t exactly careful, making him aggressive, and this shows on both his manners, actions and words. He rarely waits and would always rather take the initiative than wait for the other side to act first.
This aggressiveness can show in anything really, from combat, games to friendship and all that.
Resentful - Angered because those close to him are hurt or talked shit about wasn’t anything new, and TJ has gotten into fights because of that more than a couple of times. However, now this trait of his has shown new colors to him, and TJ knows that he is ready to kill for those he loves.
Weapons/Tools:
Are glasses a tool of sorts? If not, then TJ has none.
Skills:
Has the incredible skill of being able to perform nigh impossible combos in fighting games that require split second timing, and the ability to find the most broken and easily abusable tactics and skills in RPGs.
Are they a Stand User: YES! YES! YES!
Quotes:
“Sorry, not sorry.”
“C’mon. Don’t be such a party pooper! Loosen up a bit!”
“Hey, hey. I got the new F-Mega game, so you wanna come over to my place and try it out?”
“Please… don’t go… ”
“Ehh, it’s fine.”
Their Goal:
To find out what he wants to do with his life.
To find the person who killed William and bring them to justice with a serving of fist barrage.
Their Secret:
Well, he’d really wish that no one would know about his birthmark.
Weaknesses:
Blind as a bat: Without his glasses or contacts, TJ’s eyesight is pretty much fucked. At half a meter things will start getting blurry and from three meters everything’s just one big blurry mess. Glasses break differently and contacts are something he really doesn’t wear , ‘cause they will in a couple of hours after putting them on will start to sting.
Not a fighter: TJ in no way is adapt in the art of combat, and he’s only been in a couple of brawls. So there’s no real technique to his style.
Fuck foresight:T J really isn’t too good at thinking far ahead, as he acts mostly in the now, which honestly gets him usually into trouble of some sorts. He rarely has backups.
Strengths:
Stand Proud: Despite his lack of fighting skills, TJ’s actually a rather sturdy guy, and can take his fair share of punishment. He also has a good amount of pain tolerance.
I memorized it: TJ has a surprisingly good memory, being able to remember details with ease, even if it was something surprisingly small. His memory is the best with visuals and smells.
Adaptability: The guy’s at his best when put on the spot, and is able to adapt to a situation one way or another. His forte pretty much is improvisation and coming up with solutions when cornered.
Bio:
Thomas Joshua Irving was born on the 27th day of February in Manhattan to a middle class family, and he would grow a rather normal life with his father, who divorced Thomas’ mother when the boy was only 2 years old. He doesn’t have any memories of that time, so Thomas really doesn’t mind that he hasn’t met his mother before.
Thomas got the nickname of TJ from his father at a quite the young age. So early in fact that he doesn’t remember when it started and being called Thomas or Joshua just feels odd as fucking hell.
Kindergarten really wasn’t anything special, but things took a bit of an unpleasant turn for TJ in elementary school, as he didn’t get along with a specific group of kids there, because of his rather blunt and opinionated personality, and so he became the target of bullying. At first it was nothing with bullies just using words, which TJ wasn’t bothered by at all, but when they realized that simple words didn’t work, the kids turned violent.
TJ tried to fight back, but with there being more kids trying to beat him up, he of course got his ass kicked plenty of times. After a bit of this had continued other students began avoiding TJ, and not even getting teachers involved seemed to work, as the bullying just continued.
Once he graduated and enrolled in middle school, TJ had made sure to pick a school where none of his bullies would be, and kept a rather low profile there, trying his best to not get targeted by bullies again. One day when he was playing one of his games during recess, a kid in his class approached him, and started small talk, asking what he was playing and such. It turned that the boy, William, played the game too, and even said that the two should hang out. A bit skeptical, but curious, TJ agreed to hang out with this kid William. Surprisingly enough, he found that he got well along with William and soon enough the two middle schoolers were best friends.
Years passed with TJ and William being closer than ever, the two graduated and enrolled to the same school. To LaGuardia High School to be exact, and things didn’t really change much between the two even if there was a lot more studying to do. Still, TJ himself had a more of a personal problem, as he didn’t know what to do after being done with high school, and even now proves to be a problem that tends to bug him. Still, he got plenty of distractions with the help of William.
On his second year in high school however, while walking home with William, TJ suddenly fell unconscious, and once he woke up there was the body of his best friends, right next to him with a small cut on wrist. The shock of seeing William was quite overwhelming, but TJ was somehow able to bring himself to talk coherently enough through the tears when calling 911, and soon the police and an ambulance was called. It was then found out that TJ himself had a similar small cut on his nape, but seemed completely fine, which was rather odd. This case was put into the same folder as all the other deaths currently happening around the area.
William’s funeral was soon after and TJ found his tears dry by then, as he had come to grips with his best friend’s death… mostly at least. The effects still was visible as he was a lot more quiet, spending a lot of his time alone in his room with video games and feeling frustrated that he couldn’t do anything about the killer. He wanted to avenge his friends. He hated the killer. He wanted to find the killer and beat them into a bloody pulp.
One day TJ’s thoughts received a reply in the form of a firm hand being placed on his shoulder. At first the young man thought he was going insane once he saw the strange humanoid being behind him, but once he realized that the thing followed his commands through thought and could even move physical objects. “This is real…” TJ spoke to himself, pretty much blown away.
A week later TJ had used a lot of free time to test the abilities of the strange being he had named “The Beatles”, and found out that the thing was incredibly powerful and so far hadn’t met anyone else who could see The Beatles. Finding out that he had this powerful kind-of-spirit now brought some new confidence into TJ, making him decide that he will catch this killer and beat them to a pulp. First however he’d need to find the guy, which would most likely be rather difficult.
TJ felt like he was about to go on a dangerous and bizarre adventure.
