Name: Rivers Armstrong
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Occupation: Student
Race: Human
Physical Appearance: Rivers is a young androgynous woman who stands at 5'5 and doesn't weigh much. She has shorter straight black hair, bluish grey eyes, and particularly pale skin, as if she doesn't go out much. She has dark bags under her eyes, a symptom of her sleep deprivation. Her vaguely dainty build doesn't give much away as far as her gender, and she is thankful for it. Her hair swoops down and hides her face, covering her right eye. Her face could be described as somewhat pretty if she didn't hide it they way she does. Her mannerisms are reserved, calm and thoughtful.
Clothing Appearance: Rivers most often wears formal dress shoes, black men's pants and a darker double breasted blazer. On warmer days, she will sometimes instead wear a white long sleeved dress shirt with black suspenders.
Personality: Rivers is a quiet, contemplative, and somewhat antisocial teenager. She has an aloof, disinterested temperament, often claiming that she is "bored" or "tired" of the things around her. She thinks things over quite a bit in her head, never jumps to conclusions, and likes to keep her mouth shut. She is an open minded individual, and she doesn't like to be openly hostile with others, although she may be somewhat passive aggressive with them if they are overbearing. Perhaps she can even come to be good friends with people if she takes the time to get to know them.
Aside from her aloofness, Rivers actually has a bit of a sense of humor, most of which consists of self deprecation accompanied by a sarcastic grin. She refuses to acknowledge her positive traits or downplays them, such as her above average intellect. Despite this, if anyone besides herself insults her, she will get frustrated. She gets particularly crossed with anyone who asks her about her gender, regardless of whether they think she is male or female.
Weapons/tools: She always keeps around her notebook and pen. No weapons.
Skills: Deduction, logical thinking, reading body language, and gathering clues. In short, the things she has learned from the protagonists of her favorite mystery novels.
Stand User: Yes
Quotes:
"Excuse me, you're wasting my time."
"Just as I expected!"
"... Is that all?"
"... I don't like to talk about myself, sorry."
Their Goal: Rivers hopes to make it through her senior year intact. When she comes to New York and hears of a mystery afoot, she hopes to be like one of the detectives in her favorite novels and crack the case.
Their Secret: Rivers is afraid that she will never be able to truly open up to other people, cursing herself to a life of loneliness. She also fears that she will never be able to accept herself for what she views as flaws, such as her gender.
Weaknesses: She has troubles with interacting with others, although sometimes it is a conscious decision. At times, she is plagued by a lack of self confidence, feeling like everything she does is useless. She is often tired because she doesn't get enough sleep. She is not used to the big city.
Strengths: After reading quite a few detective novels, she has a good idea of what is needed when solving a mystery, and she doesn't let any possible clues get past her. She isn't the type to give up on something once she's started it, because she feels the need to see things through to the end.
Bio: Rivers was born and has lived her life thus far in a small town in the state of New York. The secluded life style she lived affected her in several ways. with her lack of social interaction, she adopted a shut-in life style. She blamed her weak social skills on an internal weakness, particularly her gender, which she began to hide. As time went by, she felt stuck in the town she lived in, and looking for some form of escapism, she began to read mystery novels. Every night, she stays up for hours, just reading those books. Now, in her final year of high school, fearing that she may never leave her hometown and that she may never move out of her comfort zone, Rivers decides to transfer to Laguardia to experience something different. Little did she know what was in store for her there...
